Joan A. Jilks was in her 81st year of life. Beloved wife to Raymond Dane Jilks of Bala. Dear mother to Jennifer Ann (Brian) Jilks, formerly of Ottawa, and Robin Frederick Jilks of Campbell River, B.C. Beloved grandmother to Caitlin, Jesse, Terry and Keegan. Survived by her sister Margaret Simmons, of Lethbridge, Alberta. Predeceased by her sisters Lillian and Marion and by her brother Frederick. The family received friends at W.J. Cavill Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life for Joan Arlene Jilks will take place at the Bala United Church on July 15th.
